Police are searching for as many as four men accused of killing local boxing champion, O'Neil Bell, and injuring another person during a street robbery in southwest Atlanta.

The suspects approached O'Neil 'Supernova' Bell just after midnight, Wednesday, right after he got off a MARTA bus in the 1800 block of Harbin Road.

Investigators said the suspects attempted to rob Bell and he fought back before he was shot to death. Police do not think the suspects knew who Bell was.

Police said the suspects were last seen driving a 2006 PT Cruiser with Georgia license plate: TJC 685.

Investigators believe the suspects were probably waiting to rob anyone who got off the bus on that particular block. Another man also got off at the same stop and he, too, was robbed.

Police described that victim as a 28-year-old man who was dressed as a woman and carrying a purse. At an afternoon press conference, police confirmed that the two robbery victims had no connection, other than getting off at the same stop.
